Groot was mijn verbazing toen ik één dag na het doormailen van mijn reservatieformulier al antwoord kreeg :
alle gevraagde reservaties zijn bevestigd én dan nog wel op de gewenste tijdstippen.
Dit had ik nooit gedacht; misschien helpt het wel als je een Amerikaanse travel agent hebt die dat allemaal voor je regelt (zoals wij hebben). Zo ziet ons schema er nu uit voor de 1ste week:

10u30 : ontbijtbuffet in Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort
Hier komen Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy en Donald de gasten een bezoekje brengen.
Wie een idee wil hebben wat er daar zoal te eten valt:
Premium Fruit Bar: Seasonal melon and fresh fruit display, assorted flavored yogurts and more.
Cereal Selections: Almond granola, Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops, Cocoa Krispies, hot oatmeal and grits.
Breakfast Specialties: scrambled eggs, Pluto's cheese blintz, 3 cheese omelet, Chef's daily omelet, Corned Beef hash with cornbread, Goofy's veggie lasagna, Mickey waffles, cheese potatoes with bacon, Breakfast potatoes, bacon & sausage links, Minnie's breakfast pizza, Challah French toast, pancakes with a variety of toppings, and buttermilk biscuits with country gravy.
Pastry Chef's Creations: bagels, chocolate croissants, muffins, cinnamon rolls, Rice Krispie treats, peach cobbler, warm bread pudding, assorted danishes and more.
Hiermee zullen we toch een deel van de dag doorkomen, denk ik. Onmiddellijk na het ontbijtbuffet gaan we voor het eerst Magic Kingdom binnen.
In het Magic Kingdom hebben we dan om 18u30 gereserveerd voor het diner in The Crystal Palace.
Winnie the Pooh, Eyeore, Tigger en Piglet zullen ons tijdens het diner een bezoekje brengen.
Gourmet cuisine offered in Victorian elegance that offers a variety of selections to tempt every taste including: multigrain nut bread and white rolls, PB & J, Mixed field greens with choice of dressing (ranch, zinfandel, & madarin orange sesame vinaigrette), Tropical slaw, Mediterranean pasta salad, Moroccan couscous salad, Romaine blue cheese salad, Peel & eat shrimp, Prime Rib, Shrimp, black bean & mango salad, Edamame, Papaya frisee salad, Roasted garlic mashed potatoes, Broccoli, Medley of veggies, Braised kale with bacon & onion, Slow roasted pork, Cheese pizza, Vegetable pasta, Wild mushroom & chicken pasta, Cinnamon & lemon basmati rice, Thai curry mussels, Fruit & vegetable tofu curry, Atlantic salmon, Rotisserie chicken, Herb roasted turkey, and New England clam chowder.

19u : Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall 
Restaurant Akershus is patterned after its namesake castle found in Oslo. Soaring ceilings are accented with hand hewn wooden beams. This regal setting is the perfect backdrop for the Princess Storybook Dining experience. While enjoying your meal, Disney Princesses and friends will visit with you. Lunch and Dinner will feature a Taste of Norway assortment of cold appetizers followed by hot entrees.
The Royal Feast begins with a "Taste of Norway," sliced deli meats, seafood, and a grand selection of prepared salads, cheeses, and breads.
The Dinner Entree Selections include: Baked Salmon topped with Spicy Mustard, Pasta Akershus, Braised Lamb, Braised Beef Short Ribs, Venison Stew, Fresh Poached Cod, and Traditional Kjottkake. The Royal Feast begins with a "Taste of Norway," sliced deli meats, seafood, and a grand selection of prepared salads, cheeses, and breads.
The Royal Chef's Dessert Plate includes: Traditional Rice Cream, Chocolate Mousse Cake, and Lingonberry Cheesecake (served on one plate to be enjoyed by everyone).

13u : lunch in de Liberty Tree Tavern
If you're wondering why you're asked where you're from when you check in at the podium at the Liberty Tree, you'll soon have your answer. In keeping with the Colonial theme, "the Smith's from Pennsylvania" are summoned and escorted to one of six rooms. Colonial furnishings and artifacts provide a comfortable setting while you enjoy your meal. The menu is influenced by New England fare, but there are plenty of other choices to satisfy your appetite. At lunchtime, the Liberty Tree Tavern is an often overlooked gem and provides a wonderful respite from the typically hectic Magic Kingdom day.

Vandaag brengen we een bezoek aan de "beestjes". Aangezien er hier geen restaurant is waar we echt willen eten, gaan we voor het avondeten terug naar Epcot.

Chip & Dale Harvest Feast featuring Buttermilk biscuits and yeast rolls with Honey-Orange Blossom Butter, Flank Steak with Mushroom Cabernet au Jus, Rotisserie Turkey with Cranberry Relish, Fried Catfish, Home-style Potato casserole, Selection of Fresh Vegetables, and Very Berry Puff Pastry.

12u40 : lunch at 50's Prime Time Café
Bring your appetite and sense of humor. The theme is Mom's kitchen circa 1955. There are TV's throughout the restaurant broadcasting black and white sitcoms. From "Father Knows Best" to the original "Mickey Mouse Club," you can't help but smile when you see these blasts from the past.
Everyone is "family." Your server will introduce you to your "cousins" while giving you stern warnings to keep your elbows off of the table and to eat your vegetables. It's all in good fun and adds to the unique experience. There are lots of 50's knick-knacks and the dessert menu is on a Viewmaster!

Voor onze laatste dag in Orlando hebben we nog niet beslist naar welk park we gaan, dat zullen we dan wel zien. Eten doen we in ieder geval wel in onderstaand restaurant.
18u10 : Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios
This restaurant has one of the more unique themes found in Disney World. Modeled after Drive In Theatres, you sit "under the stars" in 50's era cars and watch old clips from science fiction movies while you dine.The movies clips are unintentionally funny and include "Plan 9 From Outer Space", the "Amazing Colossal Man" and other B Movie classics.
The majority of cars hold 6 people sitting in three rows of two seats. There are a few tables in the back of the restaurant.
One of the items that the Sci Fi is best known for is the milkshakes. The rest of the menu ranges from burgers, to pasta to sandwiches, ribs and salads.
